The ESFA brings together the former responsibilities of the Education Funding Agency (EFA) and Skills Funding Agency (SFA). There are hundreds of NCFE qualifications eligible for ESFA funding in 2017-18, with more being added all the time.

Advanced Learner Loans

The Government has introduced a package of measures to support both learners and providers with Advanced Learner Loans and is providing a £50m bursary fund to support vulnerable learners with additional costs related to learning. Support is available from the Education and Skills Funding Agency, the National Careers Service, the Gov.UK website and Student Finance England. Centres should check the latest version of the Funding Rules for further information about Advanced Learner Loans.

How can I find out if an NCFE qualification is funded?

You can find out if any NCFE qualification is eligible for funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency by using the Product Features filter on our Qualification Finder. Each funded qualification will have a small logo to tell you which funding stream(s) it's available under.
