Following feedback from our centres, we’ve redeveloped the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) qualification NCFE Level 2 Award in Practical Food Safety for Catering (500/6210/4).
The new qualification will be live in November 2013. The details are below:
NCFE Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (600/9603/2)
The key benefits of this qualification are:
•the portfolio of evidence learners previously had to complete has been removed and replaced by a multiple choice question paper, available on demand, online and paper-based. Feedback from our centres suggests this is a much more appropriate method of assessment for this qualification
•due to the change in assessment method, the new qualification is now only 9 Guided Learning Hours
•the unit content has been updated slightly for clarification and to remove duplication
•this qualification may attract funding under the Single Adult Skills Budget – please see the latest SFA funding catalogue for more details.
The fee is £24 per learner for the 2013-2014 session.
Once the qualification is live in early November, the Qualification Specification (issue 1, September 2013) will be available on our website at www.ncfe.org.uk/product-finder
