The NCFE Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (600/9603/2) will be available from 1 November 2013 and replaces the qualification NCFE Level 2 Award in Practical Food Safety for Catering (500/6210/4), which expires 31 December 2013.
The portfolio of evidence learners previously had to complete has been removed and replaced by a multiple choice question paper, available on demand, online and paper-based. This is following feedback from our centres, which indicated this is a much more appropriate method of assessment for this qualification.
The Guided Learning Hours for this qualification is now 9, and the unit content has been updated to avoid duplication and add clarification.

• NCFE Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Professional Cookery
