Withdrawal and replacement of Employability Skills qualifications

Monday 16 June 2014

The following qualifications are due to expire on 30 November 2014 and will be replaced (see below for further information):

The operational end date of these qualifications is 30 November 2014.

Please make sure that if you intend to register any learners on these qualifications, you do so before 30 November 2014. After this date, the qualifications will no longer be available, and we’ll be unable to accept registrations.

Any learners registered before this date will have until the certification end date listed below to complete their course and claim certificates. This includes learners who have a credit certificate who want to complete the full qualification and claim a full certificate.

Certification end dates:

  • Entry level – 30 November 2015
  • Level 1 – 30 November 2015
  • Level 2 – 30 November 2016
  • Level 3 – 30 November 2017

We cannot accept or process any claims after these dates. If you have any questions about this please contact your Customer Support Advisor here at NCFE.

Stand-alone unit programmes

There are also a number of stand-alone unit programmes that are part of the Employability qualifications and are due to expire on 30 November 2014. We’re currently looking into how these will be affected by the expiry of the current qualifications and what we can do to safe-guard these for centres. We’ll be in touch soon to let you know more information.

Replacement qualifications

We’re currently working on the development of a new suite of REED NCFE Employability qualifications to replace the current versions listed above. We will be in touch soon with more detailed information but we can confirm these will be available for registrations from 1 December 2014.
