Withdrawal of Business Skills and Contact Centre Operation qualifications

The following qualifications are being withdrawn on 31 December 2014:

  • NCFE Level 1 Award in Business Skills (600/5977/1)
  • NCFE Level 2 Award in Business Skills (600/5978/3)
  • NCFE Level 3 Award in Business Skills (600/6053/0)
  • NCFE Level 1 NVQ Award in Contact Centre Operations (600/1291/2)
  • NCFE Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Contact Centre Operations (600/1255/9)
  • NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Contact Centre Operations (600/1292/4)

We are currently working on the development of a suite of new Skills for Business qualifications, which will be available for registrations from 1 September 2014.

NCFE Contact Centre Operations will not be replaced. A list of alternative awards and qualifications accredited by the qualifications’ regulators is available from the Ofqual website.

The following stand-alone unit programmes will also be withdrawn on 31 December 2014:

  • Word Processing Software (A/502/0167/UNIT)
  • Using Email (J/502/0172/UNIT)

Please make sure that if you intend to register any learners on these qualifications or unit programmes, you do so before 31 December 2014. After this date, the qualification will no longer be available, and we’ll be unable to accept registrations.

Any learners registered before this date will have until the certification end dates below to complete their course and claim certificates:

  • 600/5977/1,600/1291/2, A/502/0167/UNIT and J/502/0172/UNIT – certification end date 31 December 2015
  • 600/5978/3 and 600/1292/4 – certification end date 31 December 2016
  • 600/6053/0 and 600/1255/9 -  certification end date 31 December 2017

This includes learners who have a credit certificate who want to complete the full qualification and claim a full certificate. We cannot accept or process any claims after this date. If you have any questions about this please contact your Centre Support Assistant here at NCFE.
