Extension of NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities (601/1687/0)

The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities (601/1687/0)* has been extended until 31 December 2016.

There are no changes to the title, content or structure of the qualification, so please continue to use the existing qualification specification (issue 1 November 2013) with your learners. The qualification specification is available to download by clicking on the qualification link above and selecting the ‘Support Material’ tab.

Please note that the regulation and certification end dates for this qualification have changed to the following dates:

  • the regulation end date for the qualification is now 31 December 2016, so this is the final date we can receive and process your learner registrations
  • the new certification end date is 31 December 2018 so this is the final date we can produce full and partial certificates for your learners. We cannot accept or process any claims after this date. If you have any questions about this please contact your Centre Support Assistant here at NCFE.

  • Understand the context of supporting individuals with learning disabilities (K/601/5315/UNIT)
  • Principles of positive risk taking for individuals with disabilities (K/601/6285/UNIT)
  • Introduction to personalisation in social care (K/601/9493/UNIT)
  • Introductory awareness of autistic spectrum conditions (M/601/5316/UNIT)
  • Principles of supporting individuals with a learning disability to access healthcare (T/601/8654/UNIT)
