The UK needs another 745,000 workers with digital skills by next year, and this skills gap is costing the economy around £63 billion a year in lost income according to the Digital Skills Crisis report, which was recently published by the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee.
Clearly urgent action is needed. Today everyone needs digital skills and they are now as important to employability as maths and English.
Midlands-based Bsmart Training has developed an NCFE accredited Level 2 qualification in Digital Promotion for Business. This gives training providers the opportunity to help close this digital skills gap, giving learners a solid grounding in promoting a business.
The course comprises nine units and includes the following:
- Understanding Search Engine Optimisation
- Producing digital promotional content
- Data protection and digital media for business
- Measuring the effectiveness of digital promotional activity
- Understanding and using social media.
Designed with SMEs in mind, this course is funded through local flexibility/AEB and meets with the government agenda. It provides fantastic opportunities for business and helps training providers engage with hard-to-reach employers.
The course material is completely online and comes with an easy-to-use tracking system.
