We’re pleased to announce that NCFE has met the requirements of the Cyber Essentials Scheme and we now hold a Certificate of Compliance.
Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, industry-supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common cyber-attacks. It’s now mandatory for suppliers of government contracts which involve handling personal information to be certified under the scheme.
NCFE’s certification means that that our organisation’s ICT defences have been assessed as satisfactory against commodity based cyber-attack.
There are five basic controls within Cyber Essentials that must be met for certification:
- Boundary firewalls and internet gateways
- Secure configuration
- Access control
- Malware protection
- Patch management.
This is great news for us and our customers, who can now be assured that we take cyber security very seriously and have suitable IT best practices in place. The certification is designed to help our customers have confidence in working with NCFE, as we’ve proved that our IT systems are secure and we have the relevant procedures and policies in place.
If you’d like any more information on this, feel free to get in touch with us. You can view our entry on the QG Cyber Essentials Register and an electronic copy of our certificate here.
