The UK needs another 745,000 workers with digital skills by next year, and this skills gap is costing the economy around £63 billion a year in lost income according to the Digital Skills Crisis report, which was recently published by the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee.

We are delighted to announce that we have acquired ForSkills, an e-learning business that provides diagnostic assessments and learning resources for Functional Skills qualifications to organisations across the UK.

The Skills Funding Agency (SFA) has now published its updated list of qualifications eligible for 19 -23 year olds to take as part of their Legal Entitlement to a first full Level 2 and first full Level 3, following its consultation to add qualifications to the non-core list.

Currently, there are many year 11 pupils studying Technical Award qualifications and looking towards their future after school. Soon enough, they’ll be enrolling at post-16 institutions with these qualifications for September 2016 starts. These qualifications are valuable to our learners and we want to make sure they’re recognisable to Further Education institutions.
