Happy New Year - I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing festive break! I’d like to start with some good news from NCFE – we’ve recently achieved Investors in People Gold Standard, a high accolade which represents world class best practice in business.

We’re delighted to join the 600 organisations nationally who hold the gold standard and we believe that it truly demonstrates our ambition and commitment to achieving high performance through people and delivering exceptional customer service.

I’d also like to thank those of you that took part in our 2nd Customer Engagement Survey which was distributed in September 2012. We’ve now received your feedback from our partner, Engage, and we’d like to say a big thank you to the 557 of our College customers who completed the survey.

Here are some highlights from what you told us:

  • 89% of you told us that you trust NCFE to do its best for you
  • 90% trust us to do the best for your learners
  • 64% of you told us that NCFE is your preferred Awarding Organisation for the products and qualifications we offer
  • 74% of you would recommend NCFE to a friend or colleague.

NCFE’s focus this year is based around innovation and employability; helping you achieve positive outcomes for your students. Within this newsletter, you’ll find information on our new REED NCFE qualifications in Job Search and Employability Skills as well as details on our forthcoming series of free Work Readiness events, taking place throughout the country.

You might also be interested in our article on the 16-19 Study Programme which will come into play from September 2013 in line with the ‘Raising the Participation Age’ (RPA) policy. Look out for more information on the Study Programme coming your way in the coming weeks!
