Support for the new academic year

Welcome back everyone! Here we are once again at the start of the new academic year. I’ve no doubt that you’ll have hit the ground running and are already juggling multiple responsibilities as you welcome in your new school year groups and prepare them for the year ahead.

Being this hectic does of course present many challenges not least the pressures on time. I firmly believe that NCFE as your Awarding Organisation is in a unique position to help you and your school get the most out of your precious time by providing you with the best possible support and service.

We pride ourselves on our service because we understand its importance in helping you do your job. We continue to ensure our service and support remains valuable to you by developing and improving our service in those areas where it matters most to you. From our 1 day turnaround time for certification to our commitment to answering your phone call within two rings, all our service level standards are there to help you.

Our latest improvements for you this year have focused on the time it takes to allocate you a moderator. We’ve reduced this down by from 10 days to 7. We’ve also reduced the time it takes to get you approved for additional qualifications from 5 days to 3.

Both of these improvements have been rolled out to save you time. They also help shorten the journey to certification for pupils who’ve successfully completed their NCFE qualification.

This is just one a small example of the service improvements we’re continuing to roll as part of our commitment to giving you great customer service.

But we can’t make any improvements without speaking and engaging with you and I’d like to thank all of you who took part in last year’s Customer Engagement Survey.

Your feedback is extremely valuable to us so it was great to see that 86% of you felt that we understand the needs of your pupils and that 94% of you feel that we provide you with clear points of contact to help with enquiries.

Resources and networking opportunities were 2 areas that responders highlighted they’d like further support in. I’m pleased to say that this year we’re already planning to roll out new resources and support for all our school customers. Watch out in the coming weeks for more information on the latest free support resources for the NCFE V Cert qualifications

More than three quarters of you are happy with the relationship you have with us. Our Customer Engagement Survey is just one way we seek to engage with you and whether it’s through this, our school panel or our networking and training events, we want to keep engaging with you so we can provide the best possible service to you, our customers.
