To have performance points all qualifications must have external assessment…right? Well not quite.

Did you know that we also offer a small number of existing non V Cert Level 1 qualifications that are 100% portfolio based? This means that for this year’s Year 11 pupils there is still time to deliver these qualifications for the 2015 performance tables.

Equivalent to a GCSE D-G grade, these qualifications can be used for additional vocational achievement whilst also counting towards the school performance tables; there are 5 qualifications that count in the 2015 tables.

The nature and flexibility of these GCSE equivalent qualifications means they’re ideal for delivery within the summer term timetable and are a great additional option at the end of the exam timetable. They can give your year 11 pupils a real taste of a broad range of creative vocational subject areas. The qualifications can be run as intensive courses towards the end of June and into early July[1]. But remember if you want to achieve performance points you’ll need to check the discount codes and make sure you register your pupils with us before starting.

Don’t forget, we also offer a wide range of other vocational qualifications that don’t carry performance points but are excellent for PSHE and summer school programmes.

For more information on all our qualifications including our new V Certs (which will carry performance points) then please visit the Schools section of our website or call us on 0191 240 8822.
