As plans for next year’s curriculum start to come together, we wanted to update you on some recent positive qualification developments with regards to the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) and their funding catalogue for 2014-15.
We’ve already reported on a number of successes and we’re pleased to let you know that we’ve got great news!
We’ve now received confirmation from the SFA that the below qualifications are now on the funding list for 2014-15:
The below qualifications (also fundable) will be available to register learners from September 2014 and are alternative solutions to our current provision – which will still be running.
- NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Nutrition and Health (601/3389/2)
- NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding the Safe Handling of Medication in Health and Social Care (601/3404/5)
- NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Working with People with Mental Health Needs (601/3434/3)
- NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems (601/3438/0).
We’ve also developed new qualifications which are listed in the funding catalogue and will be available for learner registration from September 2014:
- NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Dignity and Safeguarding in Adult Health and Social Care (601/3119/6)
- NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning Knowledge and Skills (601/3255/3)
- NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Retail Operations (601/3338/7).
In all instances we recommend that you refer to the Funding Catalogue for updates and further information.
If you’re interested in delivering any of these qualifications, whether you’re already an NCFE approved centre or a brand new centre looking to switch to NCFE, simply add the qualifications to your shortlist on our website, fill in our short approval form and click submit. It's as simple as that!
