As part of Ofqual’s approach to Risk Based Regulation and in an effort to remove confusion within the sector, regarding regulated and unregulated qualifications, Ofqual has been scrutinising the availability of unregulated provision in sectors or subject areas where awarding organisations currently offer regulated qualifications.

To make sure NCFE complies with these new requirements we have undertaken a full review of our Accreditation Services.  As a result of this review, we’d like to inform you that the National Partnership Award (NPA) NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Dementia Awareness (NP00066NT) is affected by the new Risk Based Regulation arrangements and will consequently need to be withdrawn and replaced by NCFE Level 2 in the Principles of Dementia Care (600/6355/5) which is now available on the QCF.

• NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Equality and Diversity (500/8342/9)
